Last month, Hankey Marks & Crider donated $1,000 to the MDA of Central Indiana Summer Camp, a summer camp for children with muscular dystrophy. This donation is more than enough to cover the cost of sending one child to camp. Their donation was part of a Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraising auction that raised $18,530, enough to send 23 kids to camp. This far exceeded the event’s original goal of raising $10,000.
The MDA of Central Indiana Summer Camp provides children with muscular dystrophy with an opportunity to enjoy themselves in an environment that was created specifically for kids with this disease, and also allows them to meet and spend time with other children with shared experiences.
